Year 9 Pupils Travel to Madrid for Spanish Weekend

As part of their Spanish studies, a group of Ellesmere College Year 9 pupils recently spent the weekend sampling the delights of Madrid.

The group of 14 pupils and 2 teachers enjoyed activities which ranged from trips to the Reina Sofia Art Gallery and the Royal Palace, to an evening spent taking in a Primera Liga football match at Atletico Madrid's Vicente Calderon stadium.

Liam Bambridge, Head of Modern Languages commented, 'The sun shone brightly throughout and the behaviour of the pupils was also of the highest order. Their visit to Madrid's main theme park was much deserved and enjoyed by all.'
