Welsh International Rugby Honours for Ellesmere College Players

As the Easter holiday commences, two talented rugby players from the College Rugby Academy will be travelling to Ireland to play with the Welsh U18 rugby squad against Ireland, Italy and France as part of the Six Nations Competition.

Since being chosen to play for the Welsh U18 squad, Joel Galley has been recovering from an injury, whilst James King has already had the opportunity to play in two international games, first against England and then Scotland, a match won by the Welsh side, 24-0. James' significant contribution during these matches was to secure good line-out possession.

Joel and James have played alongside each other for two seasons whilst studying for their A Levels at Ellesmere College and developing their rugby skills under the guidance of Paul Goodwin, Director of the College Rugby Academy. During this time, they have also played for both the U17 and U18 North Wales teams.

Paul Goodwin commented, 'It is not only a great personal achievement for both boys but also hugely rewarding for the College Rugby Academy to be so well represented in the Welsh U18 squad. We wish them every success in the forthcoming games.'
