Pupils Succeed in Primary Mathematics Challenge

A group of Years 5 and 6 pupils recently participated in the national Primary Mathematics Challenge, run by Mathematics Association.

All the 23 Lower School participants passed with the top performers being Dominic Freer-Carmichael and Luke Parker achieving Gold. Craig Cawsey, Adam Crossman, Matthew Manton and Jaimie Wakefield all achieved Silver awards. Thomas Keay, Alistair OBrien, Oliver Smith, Thomas Ward, Elizabeth Walsh and Kate Williamson achieved Bronze.

All the certificates were awarded in a recent assembly by Head of Lower School, Sharon Owen.

Elaine Phillips, KS2 Coordinator commented, The pupils said it was certainly a challenge which made them extend their thinking skills! Congratulations to all the pupils, particularly the 12 prize winners.
