Pupils Selected to Play Rugby at Divisional Level

At the start of term assembly, the Headmaster at Ellesmere College announced to all pupils that, following recent regional rugby trials, 2 Year 11 boys had been selected for the final 22 player squad for the Midlands U16's.

Since this also means that the pair are now official England Trialists, there were whole hearted congratulations all round for Colin Dickson and Louis Chaudron, who both play in the Schools 1st Rugby Team and joined the School in Year 9.

Ian Williams, Director of the Rugby Academy commented, This is a fantastic achievement for the boys and a tremendous reflection on the rugby at Ellesmere.

Colin and Louis will have their first training weekend with their fellow U16 Squad members during the weekend of 22nd and 23rd January before participating in the divisional festival at Broadstreet, Birnmingham.
