Richard Boswell, Head of Performing Arts commented, We feel privileged to be hosting the internationally renowned Kala Chethena Kathakali Company.  Through our Arena Arts Programme at the College we aim to promote the arts and encourage our pupils skills and appreciation of them.  Students take the Arts Council approved Arts Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold in music, drama, dance, costume and make up, stage tech, media and visual art.  Kathakali offers a wonderful example of all these skills being combined in one stunning, exotic and powerful performance.  It is important for us that we can bring a piece of authentic South Indian culture into the heart of Shropshire. As an international school, with students from many parts of the world, we recognize the rich diversity of cultures that can be appreciated

Tickets for the performance which is open to members of the public, can be reserved via the Arts Centre Box Office. Telephone no. 01691 626545 or email The ticket price of 10 includes Indian nibbles and soft drinks, before, during and after the performance.
