Lottie Hulme,Angelo Daniel, Caro Hulme and Beth Hulme

The desire to dance on stage encouraged four talented ballet dancers from Ellesmere College Lower School pupils to audition for parts in Sleeping Beauty that is being performed this weekend by the English Youth Ballet at the Severn Theatre, Shrewsbury.

For part of the summer holiday, three Ellesmere College girls from the same Oswestry family, Lottie and Caro, twins in Year 6 and Beth Hulme in Year 7, as well as Angelo Daniel in Year 8 who lives in Whittington, have been rehearsing with the English Youth Ballet and this weekend will be performing alongside young dancers from around the UK in Sleeping Beauty.

Sharon Owen, Head of Lower School, commented, 'Since Ellesmere College believes in encouraging children to develop their talents in whatever direction this leads them, I was particularly delighted to learn that all four Lower School ballet stars were successful in their bid to perform with the English Youth Ballet and I look forward to seeing them on stage on Saturday.'
