Following a long-standing tradition, the History Department have recently held their annual Christmas Dinner.

Inviting Sixth Form History students and members of the Sixth Form pastoral staff, to attend the event, each guest chose a favorite historical character. The Head of History, Louise Paton, hosted a reception in the Sixth Form Centre before the group enjoyed a meal of traditional Christmas fayre.

During the evening guests were invited to explain the reasons behind their choice of historical character with the two most convincing characters receiving an award.

Louise Paton explained, This annual event is primarily about having fun, however, it also gives  the students the opportunity to articulate the characterisation of their favourite historical characters.
