Ellesmere College welcomed the High Sheriff of Shropshire,
Mr Michael Lowe to present Duke of Edinburgh's Awards to a number of pupils.
Ellesmere College has been actively involved in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme since the early 1960's and each year encourages pupils to complete the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of the Award.

Ros McCarthy, the senior Leader of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme at Ellesmere College commented "everyone who was presented with an award today has worked hard to learn new skills, demonstrated perseverance and embraced team-working. I am delighted that this afternoon's presentations have been made by the High Sheriff and in the presence of families and friends of the awardees."
Ellesmere College is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme during the weekend of 24/25th June and invites any Old Ellesmerians and former leaders who participated in the Scheme to join them.
