Concours Int

Crack shot Rifle shooters from Ellesmere College have recently returned from a very successful competition in France. The two-day Concours International is a competition open to U21's and is an annual event.

The group of eight were divided into two teams, based on age and ability. Team One members were Patrick Barker, from Llandrillo, Tom Doe, from Birmingham and Andrew Richardson from Burstwick. Team two consisted of James Bielby, from Brown Heath, Niall Crispin, from Rugeley and Henry Fletcher-Brewer from Abersoch.

After the first day, the teams were very disappointed, as the day had not gone well at all. But the following morning things improved greatly and resulted in Team One winning a well-earned Gold Medal in the U16 competition and Team Two walking away with Silver.

There were also two individual medals won - a gold medal for Patrick Barker and a Bronze for Tom Doe.
