Parent's Society launched their first Autumn Ball at the end of September and were delighted to report that it was a complete sell out.
NOD2NOD provided their compelling Celtic Rock mix with a line up of electric mandolins, violins, guitar and drums. The audience went vertical at the sound of their first chord and didn't stop dancing till the end of their set and if that wasn't enough for those with their dancing shoes on - a disco was provided as well. Entertainment for the non-dancers was provided by the very popular casino. The College caterers provided a delicious three-course dinner. Although we are not a fundraising organisation, an unexpected profit was made which we shared between two local charities: The Lingen Davies Rainbow Appeal and Hope House.
Our A.G.M. on November 20th was combined with a social evening. The business was conducted and a buffet supper and wine were provided. We were able to welcome several new parents who were able to meet with the members of the committee and other newcomers.
