A BUDDING YOUNG SKATER GLIDES HIS WAY TO SUCCESS

Young Owen Edwards is well on his way to being the next Christopher Dean of the Ice Dance world. Owen, 14 years old from Wrexham, is a pupil at Ellesmere College, and whilst other students were enjoying their Easter Break, he and his partner entered the British Novice Ice Dance Championships in Nottingham and won. More recently they have been selected to join the British Skating Squad on trial basis for the next year. Their next goal is the Primary Championships in November. This is for U19 couples and silver level ability.

On an individual level, Owen came 3rd in Young Flintshire Sportsman of the Year.
