Weekend sporting success.

Batting first Ellesmere were reduced to 67-7 before Oliver Nevel (16) joined Richard Baxter (24*) to hoist the total to a match making 99 a.o. With Liverpool at 43-0 and then 91-5 things did not look too promising but an inspired spell of off-break bowling by Nick Watson Jones (7-18) bamboozled the opposition and dismissed them for 93 to leave Ellesmere victorious by 6 runs. Of course some staff are hard to impress "well that's cricket for you" and "we always had it under control" are usually heard at such times, but this performance did leave a few scratched heads!
