Golf Academy

The Golf  Academy programme is open to both girls and boys and is available to players of all standards.

The purpose of the programme is to enhance the excellent provision for participation in sport that exists at the school, and to allow individual pupils to experience a unique approach to their academic and sporting talents to a level not normally supported in schools. The golf academy will offer children aged 8-18 the opportunity to choose from a range of programmes designed to enhance each stage of their young golfing journey.

We compete in National School tournaments, the Independent schools golf association annual events programme, and the British schools golf programme. Students will also be able to play in medal matches at local golf courses and friendly fixtures against other local schools.

For those students who just want to improve their golf or who wish to try it, they can choose golf as part of the Ellesmere Activity Programme or arrange private golf lessons; these are available to all pupils.

Students on the Golf Academy Programme have access to a full and rounded golf education, covering all aspects of the game.

Our on-site facilities are excellent and include a CONGU certified nine-hole golf course, an indoor skytrak facility, an artificial putting green and access to strength, conditioning, fitness and cardiovascular gyms on campus, supervised by a fitness coach. Students have the opportunity to play at several Championship golf courses within the local area. Access into the Golf Academy will also include Junior Membership at the home course of the Golf Pro, alongside opportunities to take part in tournaments and medal matches within the calendar year.

NOTE: There is an additional termly charge of £800 allocated to being a full member of the Golf Academy Programme. This includes Junior Club Membership and all the other coaching benefits mentioned above.
