Following a 24 year career as Teacher and Headteacher Keith studied for a BA in Fine Art and has worked as a Freelance Artist ever since.
Keith's personal practice usually consists of drawing and painting, with the
occasional foray into sculpture and print making. His subjects vary considerably
as he adopts an eclectic approach which allows him to explore ideas, often
relating to the people and places around him. This selection, for example, includes several abstract pieces inspired by Keith's former home, a Lockkeeper's
Cottage on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. He also uses his teaching skills by
delivering workshops and residencies in school and community settings, and
teaching adult art classes.
