"My parent first heard of Ellesmere as a highly recommended boarding school for military children. As we looked for a school that pushed students further both academically and outside of the curriculum, Ellesmere ticked all the boxes. Then on my taster day everyone was so welcoming and friendly, I decided that I would love to join in year nine. I was kindly offered an academic scholarship upon joining the school".
"I was introduced to Ellesmere College at a higher education evening at The Corbet School where I realised that Ellesmere far exceeded other sixth forms. I was nominated for, and won, the Silver Cross Academic Scholarship, which was created by Mr. Alan Halsall, himself an Old Ellesmerian. I know that without the support and encouragement at Ellesmere I would not have been able to attend the school. The opportunity is fantastic".
"When I started at Ellesmere, I was quite nervous on my journey to school. Everything would be a brand new beginning for me. But thanks to the warm hearted teachers and students, I got used to the foreign environment quickly. When I meet a difficulty, the teachers are reliable friends - they consider my situation and give me valuable advice".

"I came to Ellesmere in Year 11 to do the Pre-Sixth course and I stayed, I am now in Lower Sixth. It was my father who decided I should come. He felt that I would have more opportunities in my life if I studied in the UK. Also, he wanted me to be further away from a big city so I could focus on my studies; and he was right because I got 5 GCSEs in one year on the Pre-Sixth course".
