Ellesmere College Hosts Spectacular Gala Concert in Support of Music School Appeal

The halls of Ellesmere College were filled with music, celebration, and community spirit on Friday 2nd May, as the annual Ellesmere Music Gala Concert took place in Big School. The evening was a triumphant showcase of the College’s vibrant musical life and a powerful testament to the talent and dedication of its students and staff.

The concert featured an impressive range of performances, from classical ensembles and jazz groups to solos and large-scale choral works, reflecting the diversity and excellence within the Music Department. The event drew a large and enthusiastic audience of parents, students, alumni, and friends of the College.

“This concert is a highlight of the school year,” said the Director of Music. “It brings together all corners of the Music Department in a joyful celebration of everything we’ve achieved – and it’s always inspiring to see the students take the stage with such confidence and artistry.”

The evening also served as a poignant farewell to the College’s Year 13 musicians, many of whom have contributed significantly to the life of the Music Department throughout their time at Ellesmere. Their final performances were met with warmth and admiration from the audience, as they prepare to move on to university and professional life.

All proceeds from the Gala Concert will go directly to the Ellesmere Music School Appeal, a fundraising initiative dedicated to expanding resources, facilities, and opportunities for music education at the College.
