Chris Celebrates King’s Scout Achievement at Windsor Castle.

On 26 April, Chris attended the Scouts Day of Celebration and Achievement at Windsor Castle as a King’s Scout Award holder.

The King’s Scout Award is the highest honour in Scouting for those aged 16–25 and requires completing a range of challenges, including achieving Gold DofE, spending 24 nights camping, and taking part in six international, community, and values-based activities. As part of his award, Chris attended the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023. He has been a member of 1st Gobowen Scout Group for over 11 years and balanced his achievements alongside his A Levels, earning the award at just 17, making him one of the youngest recipients at the Windsor event.

The event was also attended by Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and Scouts Ambassador and astronaut Tim Peake, who praised participants for their hard work and leadership. On the day, Chris paraded through Windsor into the Castle Quadrangle alongside the National Scout Band and the Band of the Grenadier Guards. The group assembled for inspection by Tim Peake and Dwayne Fields before parading to St George’s Chapel for the National Scout Service, and then returning for the final dismissal. It was an incredible day with wonderful weather.
