Captains of School

head-boy--head-girlAs Captains of Ellesmere College, we are extremely honoured to tell you about our school. As student leaders of the Sixth Form Prefect team, we strive to embody Ellesmere's values, representing the College and acting as role models and mentors for the student body, ensuring that our school is continually improving.

We strive to achieve our very best in all that we do. Our teachers have high expectations of us but also give the support that we each need in order to reach our full potential, academically and socially. We know that all schools say this, but we are proof that it actually works at Ellesmere, you can see this in our exam results, which show steady improvements year on year.

There is so much to do here at Ellesmere, we have never been bored. Our students represent the College across all areas of the curriculum, in particular within Sport where our friends regularly perform to national standards, winning district and county competitions. For those interested in the Arts students have the 'tailor made' Arena Arts programme, which encourages performance in dance, drama and music as well as the more traditional visual arts of drawing, painting and sculpture. For the more adventurous, the latest forms of technology and media may appeal, such as film making, sound recording and digital photography.

As students we are proud to attend Ellesmere College and it seems to us it never stands still but is always pushing forward, reaching for the best; not simply for the College itself but for us and for each student here. We believe in Ellesmere College.
