Ellesmere College Muscat is part of Ellesmere College International and EC Muscat is designed to serve both international and local students in Muscat, providing world-class education based on the British National Curriculum.

The development of the Ellesmere College brand internationally can be seen as a natural extension of the College’s long established commitment to developing a global perspective to learning and educating students from diverse international and cultural backgrounds around the world. In creating and developing these international locations, we are able to share our unique and award winning High Performance Learning model of education to these new markets, but also develop our own creativity to learning in an increasingly global world, to the benefit of students, staff and society at large.
EC Muscat school offers internationally recognised academic qualifications that follow the IB programme through all levels of the school. This education is underpinned by the ethos, values and other core features of an Ellesmere College education, whilst providing a learning provision reflective of the cultural context in which the school operates. Ellesmere College opened its first overseas school, Ellesmere College Muscat in September 2023. Due to the unique offerings and culture that embeds the real values of a broad ranging education, we are currently in discussion with several other partners in looking to expand the Ellesmere College family of schools into other territories around the world. We look forward to announcing the opening of the next international Ellesmere College venture very soon.
Ellesmere College works in close partnership with EC Muscat school. Whilst the EC Muscat campus is an independent institution in its own right, with its own management teams and governing bodies. Ellesmere College is closely involved in setting standards and providing governance and oversight. Members of the senior management team are actively involved in supporting mentoring and guiding the international school and teacher and pupil exchanges are part of this unique relationship.
