ELLESMERE COLLEGE MULTI-ACTIVITIES COURSE HUGE SUCCESS

This week at Ellesmere College a variety of activities are being enjoyed by a group of local children who are participating on the first Ellesmere College Multi-Activities Summer Camp.

The rain has not dampened spirits and the children aged between 8 and 14 have been enjoying a variety of sports, art activities and games. Based in the Sports Hall, the children having been swimming each day in the School's indoor pool and weather permitting will be spending time on the tennis courts and 9-hole golf course during the week.

On Friday an Olympic theme has been chosen for the final day of activities to coincide with the start of the Games in Bejing. Each child will be encouraged to dress up in team colours and participate in the mini-Olympic event.

Chris Rogers, Sports Centre Manager commented, 'with a group of very dedicated and enthusiastic leaders the aim of the week is to ensure that each individual child has the very best of times this week. In the future it is our intention to run such courses each half-term and holiday period.'
