ECB Lady Taverners Girls' Club Finals

Today is another busy day at the School as it plays host to the ECB national Under 15 and Under 13 Girls Club Cricket Final which is sponsored by the Lady Taverners.

Following the success of the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy at the School last week when over 60 girls and boys aged between 5 and 15 participated in a 5-day cricket course which included a batting workshop delivered by Paul Nixon, former England player, today, teams from North London, Devon, Hertfordshire, the West Midlands and Staffordshire have arrived at the School.

One of the many visitors supporting the Cricket finals is Charlotte Edwards, the England Ladies Cricket Captain. Charlotte will be presenting the prizes at the end of the day.

Spokesperson for the College, Suzanne Bellis, who has be liaising with the ECB representatives to help organise the event commented, We are delighted to be hosting this event for the third year. The Schools Cricket Academy, established to develop cricket talent, continues to foster good relationships with the English Cricket Board and this year has also seen the England Disabled Squad training at the School.
