Last Friday, the School's annual Year 11 Careers Conference and a record number of careers advisors were on hand to support the enquiries of pupils and their parents. Planting of Christmas Tree donated by Parents' Society
As part of their ongoing support to projects around the School, the Ellesmere College Parents’ Society recently agreed to fund the purchase of a new Christmas tree to be planted on the Lawn opposite the School Library. Parents' Society Present Cheque to Macmillan Cancer Relief
Shropshire Fundraising Manager, Claire Nester, recently visited Ellesmere College to meet with the Parents’ Society Committee and was presented with a cheque for £550 by Chairperson, Sue Dewhirst. Daily Mail Cup Success for Under 15 Team
Following a hard fought away win against St. Joseph’s, Stoke on Trent, the Ellesmere College Under 15 Rugby Team have this week reached the stage of being one of just 64 schools that remain in this year’s Daily Mail U15 Cup. The team has won 10 of the 11 games played to-date, scoring 405 points against 128 and in the process scoring 69 tries so far this season. Pupil selected to play Hockey for North Wales
A Year 11 Pupil has recently been selected for the U16 North Wales Hockey Squad and U18 North East Wales Hockey Squad. Besides playing in the School 1st Hockey Team, 16 year old Chloe Prydden also plays for Wrexham Ladies 1st XI. Titans Reach Final of National Swimming League
Last Saturday, 14th November Ellesmere College Titans travelled to Kendal to compete in the round two of the Arena National Swimming League. With a team of just 26 swimmers the Titans arrived knowing that they had a real fight on their hands to reach the prestigious final on the 12th December. Last Tuesday Ellesmere College held this term’s Personal Social and Health Education Day. Pupils from Year 3 to 13 where involved and topics ranged from Self Defense to Diet Choices.
