Lower School Open Morning Saturday 8th October 2005

Ellesmere Lower School Open Day

Saturday, 8th October 2005

10am 1pm.

Set in Ellesmere Colleges beautiful rural eighty acre site, Ellesmere Colleges Lower School caters for pupils aged between eight and thirteen. Pupils have the advantage of purpose-built facilities and small class sizes, allowing the individual attention so highly valued by parents. Entering Lower School in Year 4 a pupil is allocated a tutor who will guide them through the year both academically and pastorally.

The Colleges traditional strengths in sport and culture are ingrained in the Lower School ethos. Exceptional opportunities exist to take part in a wide range of sporting, dramatic, musical and other adventurous activities.

After-school activities and a homework session are available until 5.30pm each day. A dedicated daily bus service transports pupils from Natwich, Tarporley, Chester, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Whitchurch and Market Drayton.

Pupils may also board from Year 6, giving 10 year olds the opportunity to live in this stimulating and caring environment on a weekly or full-time basis. Martin Digby, Housemaster for the Lower School Boys Boarding House commented: many of our pupils are weekly boarding. The boarding opportunities for our younger pupils, both boys and girls, are very flexible. This gives our pupils the opportunity to stay at school during the week, on a regular or occasional basis.

Neil Price, Head of Lower School and his team welcome all interested parents and their children to visit on Saturday 8th October between 10am and 1pm.
