Commonwealth Games Shooting

Following the final selections for the Commonwealth Games Ellesmere College twin sisters, Jennifer and Sian Corish, can look forward to the summer with excitement.

This year's Commonwealth Games are held in the U.K. with the shooting taking place at Bisley in late July through early August.

Sian Corish has been selected for the full Welsh team in the Three-Discipline section. Her sister, Jennifer, has been selected as a reserve for both the Three-Discipline section team and the Prone Rifle team. Sian and Jennifer are only 14 years old, so to be members of the full Welsh Squad at such a young age is a real achievement. This will not be the first time that Sian and Jennifer have represented Wales at senior level; they made their debut last summer for the Welsh National First Team.

Sian and Jennifer follow a long line of successful shooters from the Ellesmere College Rifle club, and joining them in the Commonwealth Games team will be 22 years old John Croydon from Llansilin who will be part of the Three-Discipline section Senior team.
