Activities

Ellesmere enjoys a superb location in the North Shropshire 'Lake District'. Water, mountain, copse and field are all within reach. With an afternoon set aside in the senior school, our curriculum is built around offering opportunities to young people to explore the countryside through the Outdoor Training Unit or, via the school CCF, to make use of the excellent facilities in the locality. Either way, opportunities to develop initiative and home leadership skills abound.

Each term a certain amount of time is given over to a 'Field Day' or, occasionally, to a three day 'Expeditions' session when groups may venture further afield.

The Social Service section offers help to those in need in the local community and allows our pupils to investigate a side of their character that they may not be so aware of.
