Sports Facilities
In 2007 the new indoor Swimming Pool was opened to enhance the Sports Centre which was opened in 2004. These facilities have created an increased opportunity for sports at the School. The facilities have helped develop outstanding academies but also the opportunity for all pupils to use top quality facilities.
In 2008, Chris Rogers joined the School as Sports Centre Manager to increase the usage of the facilities from outside clubs and groups. In this time the School has forged close links with the England and Wales Cricket Board who have hosted training weekends for their Physical Disability team, Girls County age group preseason weeks and the Lady Taverners National Finals.
The School also has a close link with the Shropshire Cricket Board who have held their North Shropshire District programme at the School for a number of years as well as holding an annual Level 1 Coaching Award.

Ellesmere College has a large variety of grass pitches, three cricket
pitches, three hockey pitches and numberous football and rugby pitches
are set amongst the School's 140 acres.
